Greetings to those of the Faire Barony of Windmasters Hill and beyond-

My Lady Tangwystl and I are finally (mostly) moved into our new domicile and are holding a bardic circle on the evening of Saturday. July 19th. This is your chance to come over and try out your Pennsic material- or your ‘Midnight at the Oasis’ material- or just schmooze with your fellow scadians. Bardic circles are a chance to perform or just to come and listen to others perform.

WHERE: The home of Dunstan LeHeryngmongere and Tangwystl Ferch Morgana (Keith and Mari Nealson), located at 6109 Ellis Drive, Raleigh, NC 27612. Mapquest gets it pretty right, though the turnoff to Ellis drive off of Ebenezer Church Road comes up fast and is easy to miss. We’ll try to put out an SCA sign. Anyone have one I can borrow?

WHEN: Anytime after 6:30 pm, lasting until people leave, though after eleven my neighbors like to sleep so we need to keep it down a bit.

FOOD and DRINK:  We will not be providing a meal per se, but will have light snacks out and encourage anyone who wants to to bring snackie type food as well. Drinks are BYOB, PSFM (Bring your own beer, plus some for me- just kidding on that last part). We will have water and milk and juice for kids, but adult beverages should be brought by you and drunk responsibly. Crash space is available to an extent- let us know if you are going to need it.

REGARDING KIDS:-  Well, kids are welcome, after all, I have two myself. But we would like to keep kids from constantly running through the performing area. In keeping with that, kid friendly movies may be played in the upstairs sitting room and kids will be allowed to run around in the backyard like barbarians, collecting ticks and spraying each other with water bottles. Our house is NOT toddler proofed anymore and we do have stairs. Be warned.

THINGS YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING:
An extra chair. Bugspray (we may have to circulate people outside for awhile, depending on how many people come). Your favorite beverage. (We will have coolers on the back porch to keep stuff cold in).

ON PARKING: The biggest logistic issue at our house is parking, and it’s going to be tight. We encourage you to carpool. People with 4 wheel drive vehicles may be asked to park in the woods out back. Other people may be forced to park in such a way that hems them in temporarily or else park a ways away and walk. Be warned and don’t be afraid to drive up and ask where in the heck you can park.

Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments.

In service and in song,
Dunstan leHeryngmongere

Caution:  MapQuest is great but it sometimes makes mistakes.  It's a good idea to also have a map if you're traveling to an unfamiliar area.
